2022 AAU Post Events Highlights

AAU’s participation in African Health Excon with other prominent International Urological Societies was indeed a success in creating a well-structured scientific program for the conference. African Health Excon conference organizers UPA , American Association of Urology and Pan African Urological Surgeon’s Association ( PAUSA ) appreciated AAU’s efforts in brining all the international societies together as a community for the greater good, and we quote,

AAU's Participation in EAU 22

Arab Association of Urology was honored to be a part of The Annual Congress of European Association of Urology. AAU’s highly qualified speakers presented their expertise in the scientific program aiming to enhancing the skills of young urologists and to adapt better practices.

AAU Singed a MOU with SAJA Pharmaceuticals

SAJA Pharmaceuticals has entered a new strategic collaboration, on Educational Initiatives in Dubai with Arab Association of Urology (AAU) and Arab School of Urology (ASU) to enhance the upskilling of urology professionals through training programs and focusing on creating long term awareness programs to key issues like Urinary incontinence Awareness , Overactive Bladder (OAB) & BPH.

The strategic collaboration was signed between Dr Yasser Farahat “Secretary General of Arab Association of Urology” and Dr. Mohammed Khalil “CEO of SAJA

AAU's Intensive Course on Urodynamics on 24th June 2022 at Khorfakkan Hospital

AAU successfully conducted a hands-on training program on Urodynamics, in collaboration with Khorfakkan Hospital and SAJA Pharmaceuticals on 24th June 2022 at Khorfakkan Hospital. The training program was structure with distinguished speakers sharing their expertise and a hands-on training.

Public Awareness Program on Overactive Bladder -24th June

AAU in Collaboration with Khorfakkan Hospital and SAJA Pharmaceuticals conducted a public awareness program on overactive bladder and Urinary Incontinence on 24th June 2022 at Khorfakkan. Dr. Yasser Farahat educated the significant impact of OAB symptoms on health, quality of life and productivity and advise immediate action if suffering from the disease.

The study shows that in the Middle East, the overall prevalence of urinary incontinence ranges from 20.3% to 54.8%. In Qatar, it is 20.6%, and in the United Arab Emirates, it is 20.3%. In Saudi Arabia, the prevalence of urinary continence in Jeddah and Riyadh cities was estimated to be 41.4% and 29%, respectively.

AAU's Intensive Course on Urogynecology on 25th June 2022 at Sharjah University

AAU successfully conducted an Intensive Course on Urogynecology in collaboration with SAJA Pharmaceuticals and Coloplast on 25th June 2022 at Sharjah University . This training program included Lectures from highly qualified speakers and Cadaver training, giving our participants a practical knowledge on the subject.

AAU's participation in 1st Libyan Multidisciplinary Conference on Urological Cancers on 30th July 2022

Arab Association of Urology was honored to be a part of The 1st Libyan Multidisciplinary Conference on Urological Cancers on 30th July in Libya. AAU’s distinguished speakers Dr. Ali Thwaini , Prof Hassan Abol-Enein and Prof Muhammad Bulbul shared their expertise virtually shedding light on improving prostate cancer diagnosis.
